Kevin Gill is a highly technical candidate that is well versed in Quality Assurance, Software Testing and Media Production. He has received several academic awards with a strong focus on IT and Media Production and thusly has a wide skills basis for roles within the software development industry.Once certified as a software test analyst Kevin joined the British Airways mobile innovations team as a Mobile Test Analyst. Kevin started on a brand new project to completely redesign the existing BA app for both the iOS and Android platforms. Once released this app quickly received a 5 star app rating on both platforms and is regarded as one of the leading airlines app currently available, as well as receiving the coveted Editors choice label on the iOS App Store.Whilst working at BA Kevin received a great deal of hands on experience of software testing and during this time found himself rising from a Test Analyst to a Senior Test Analyst and then the Test Lead for the iOS team. Kevin was also the JIRA Ninja for his project and set up and maintained the bug tracking and online kanban boards which allowed the project to be viewed from any location and for the bugs to be prioritised and tracked effectively amongst the team. Kevin also set up and maintained the regression testing element for the project and featured heavily in the beta testing of the apps. Automation was also a key component of Kevins work which was accomplished via the use of Cucumber and Calabash test scripts.
