ABOUT KEVIN FREELS

As an EM physician, I am on the front line of medicine, diagnosing and treating patients in their most vulnerable times of need. I am highly motivated, team-oriented individual that is formally trained in both family medicine and emergency medicine. I believe these two specialties allow me to more thoroughly address, manage and treat patients that present to the emergency department. I am extremely thankful for this opportunity and I understand the responsibility that it encompasses. My primary goal in providing patient care focuses on up-to-date evidence-based medicine while also continually enhancing department efficiency and the overall patient experience. As Department Chair of Medicine, Department Chair of Emergency Medicine and Emergency Department Medical Director, I encompass leadership qualities that are founded in years spent as a youth and college athlete. I support a team approach to patient care that targets efficient, effective procedures and/or processes that extend beyond individual departments. I believe in personal as well as individual accountability that promotes a positive environment for sustainable development and growth.
