About Kevin Doherty
Kevin Richard Doherty is a well known personality, performer and producer living in Sacramento, CA. Kevin has been seen on the stage in over 30 different operatic productions across the country. Since moving to Tennessee in 2010, Kevin has performed with Knoxville Opera, the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, Symphony of the Mountains, Marble City Opera, Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra and more. It is radio that brought Kevin to California. On the airwaves, Kevin is currently the Morning Drive Classical host and producer at Capital Public Radio. In addition to his hosting duties, Kevin has interviewed many notable personalities in the classical music world and produces features for CapRadio News surrounding classical music in the Sacramento Region. Kevin got his start in radio hosting the weekend classical music program, The Early Morning Concert on 91.9 FM, WUOT in Knoxville. While at WUOT Kevin also filled-in during the week, hosting Morning Edition, All Things Considered and other classical music programming.
