I am a seasoned laboratory leader that is passionate about quality, process improvement, and using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive quality and cost efficiencies into laboratory testing. I am also certified through the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB) as a High Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD). My area of expertise includes a broad diversity of genetic and genomic-based diagnostic testing methods in an environment regulated by CAP, CLIA, New York State, AABB, and ISO 17025. I have had great success targeting problematic areas of laboratory processes by seeking to understand the voice of the customer and by focusing on patient care. My approach has been to promote team-focused strategic initiatives and staff development through coaching, mentoring and by focusing on collaboration and team engagement.
