ABOUT KEVIN D. THOMPSON

Kevin is a staff writer for The Palm Beach Post who has more than 30 years of newspaper and magazine experience as a writer, editor, reporter, TV critic, columnist and blogger. Kevin joined the Post in January 1996 as an entertainment writer and currently covers Lake Worth. He has also covered higher education and The Palm Beach County School District for the Post. Kevin was the paper\'s television critic for 12 years (19••••08) and theater critic for one (2008-\'09). In his career, Kevin has held various positions – researcher, business reporter, small business editor, senior editor, entertainment correspondent, television columnist, education reporter. He was an associate editor and small business editor at Black Enterprise magazine for six years (1987-\'93) and worked as a reporter and entertainment correspondent for People magazine for two years in New York and Los Angeles (1993-\'95). Kevin has also covered entertainment extensively and written celebrity profiles for such newspapers and magazines as the New York Daily News, the New York Post and Essence while working as a freelance writer and before joining The Palm Beach Post.
