Owning the development coordination, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of a comprehensive recreation programming plan for Richland County Recreation, while providing leadership to drive attainment of all objectives. Strategically managing a $5M budget and preparing short- and long-range revenue/expenditure projections and financial reports, as well as initiating requests for new or replacement supplies and equipment, and creating purchase orders. Directing over 30 Full Time staff and 100 Part Time and Seasonal Staff, while managing the Programming and Conservation Divisions, including staffing and supervision of over 25 facilities. Effectively performing ongoing evaluation of all recreational programs while ascertaining future recreational needs of the community to devise strategic plans. Developing and implementing afterschool and summer camp programs, and administering organized league sports programs and special events, including providing support in the planning and implementation. Tracking inventory and ensure adequate materials, as well as regularly inspecting equipment and fields to ensure items are in safe operational condition, performing minor repairs as needed. Supporting the research, development, and oversight of new program opportunities, and reviewing then approving program proposals from staff, while working with schools for program promotion and facility usage. Aligning with management to obtain agency certifications, accreditation, and professional development, in addition to monitoring compliance of volunteers with RCRC\'s background check process. Preparing reports and summaries documenting evaluations and program outcomes, as well as attending, documenting, and presenting at Department, Division, and community meetings.
