About Kevin Cook
Data Center and Project Management, with Senior Network Engineering and Information Security experience. My professional career, of nearly twenty years, has provided me great opportunities to contract or employ with several Top Fortune 500 companies in the Greater St. Louis area in Information Systems and Information Technology. Experienced with server and appliance configuration upgrades/downgrades, and troubleshooting Wide and Local Area Network issues throughout all seven layers of OSI - Open System Interconnection model. More of my advanced, diversified skills include network engineering, implementing, administering, installing and overall project management, underlining internal auditing, ITIL compliance, and risk management accountability.Considered well-seasoned and very detail-oriented in data center and NOC environments. Over four years of senior management, with ability to instruct a small to medium corporate sized team. When working in a team environment, often identified as the glue to the support groups; always on call and readily available, and a great personal asset. My obligation to society was already designed by our country’s for-fathers, which is to help our country find solutions for greater contributions to the world. As a veteran, I have seen the alternatives to the civilian way of life and appreciate things we often take for granted. As a IT professional, I’m accustomed to working hard, experienced with building trust, and teaming with diverse backgrounds. I plan, manage time, and prioritize tasks. I’m also a motivator, and energetic. Applying my military training and leadership traits have helped develop me into becoming a successful leader, as well as a good follower. I’m eager to make contributions to my company and live a productive life with my family, the American Dream.
