About Kevin Conklin
As a research associate at the Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA), I contribute to rigorous and policy-relevant research on employment and poverty in low- and middle-income countries. I work with a team of researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to design, implement, and evaluate innovative interventions that aim to improve livelihoods and well-being for the most vulnerable populations. I have a master\'s degree in international development policy from Georgetown University, where I gained strong analytical and quantitative skills, as well as a deep understanding of the complex and multidimensional challenges facing the global development community. Prior to joining CEGA, I was a senior research associate at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), where I led the data analysis for a large-scale randomized controlled trial on formal employment in Morocco. I also have experience as a data scientist at the World Bank, where I supported teams across the organization to develop clear data visualization products to help disseminate their research. In addition, I have a background in business management and economics, having worked as a business analyst and manager at Capital One, and having graduated with a bachelor\'s degree in economics and mathematics from the College of William and Mary. I am fluent in English, French, and Spanish, and I have a passion for using data and evidence to inform and influence policy decisions that can make a positive difference in the lives of millions of people around the world.
