Provide timely and accurate emergency incident information to the public and the news media.• Write press releases, messaging and distribute information through storytelling and videography to internal and external audiences.• Long form written articles for publication in AP style format to highlight members of Charlotte Fire.• Videographer, photographer, editor for internal and external video production to enhance the public vision of Charlotte Fire.• Manage and produce content for all Charlotte Fire social media platforms for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube including graphic creation and video production.• Infrastructure development of key strategies, processes, workflows, protocols about media relations and crisis communications.• Prepare formal presentations and draft a variety of key correspondence to include, but not limited to, talking points, speeches, letters, memoranda, notes, and articles.• Manage external events where Charlotte Fire is asked to participate and create strategic opportunities for exposure in the community.
