Special Constable - Divisional Booker Court Officer @Toronto Police Service

Booking of offenders arrested for their offences· At the division the Booking Officer receives, verifies, records and updates information regarding offenders by entering information related to the booking of the offender into Versadex in a timely manner· Maintains the security of the cell areas that the offender are lodged at the division· Fingerprint and photograph persons in and out of custody to ensure the offenders identity is accurate· As a Booking Officer we liaison with personnel from prisoner transportation, Court Services and other divisions while offender is in our care to ensure the offenders appear before a Justice of the Peace so their rights are not violated· Enforcing required Criminal Codes · Communicating with Judges, Crown Attorneys, and court staff details regarding custodies· Performing duties as a Court Liaison Officer· Transporting prisoners to and from the courthouse, detention centres, and police facilities· Working independently, as well as within a team environment in the courthouse· Managing multiple tasks simultaneously concerning court officers, management, and court staff· Maintaining daily reports· Working with individuals from diverse populations · Train new recruits in the field by evaluating their skills and abilities obtained after their training from the Toronto Police College· Public Order Unit - Hand Off Team (H.O.T.), manage crowd control, process arrests during events, logistics for team equipment, etc.
