The new $100 million train control system is the GO Transit Train Control System (GTCS). As part of the overall program to upgrade and increase the capacity of its GO Transit regional train service, Metrolinx is undertaking a program of work that includes the work associated with the Signalling System and a new train control system. GO Transit currently operates 240 train trips per day on weekdays. A total of approximately 40 million passengers per year, in excess of passengers per hour.
