About Kevin Brunke
I am a self made Management Professional. My experience and expertise has proven to be successful in many business models and markets such as Consumer Electronics like Bose and Alpine Electronics, and Automotive and Heavy Trucks through Visteon, Borg Warner, Bendix, Meritor, Hendrickson and the like. Working my way up through the ranks over the years I have learned many lessons about the way things work, and don’t work. While I learned the hard charging work ethic required to make money in an environment that lives by “billable hours” as a Tool and Die Maker in the job shops I worked in to the “Big Picture” Management skills needed in the Automotive Production Houses I served in.As I moved through Middle Management, into upper level Management and ultimately to the Executive level, I learned how to manage customers and their expectations, both domestic and international. I was a part of the Sales efforts and maintained P&L responsibilities for the plants I managed. I was responsible for new customer programs, budgeting for Capital Expenditures, Program Management, Lean Manufacturing, Cost reductions, Labor Management, Quality Management both internally and externally with customers at the Plant level and some corporate exposure. As an Executive I focused on labor saving projects and worked to create an improved Training Program to better utilize personnel. I worked to implement improvement programs that directly affected the operations. Programs related to Safety, Quality, Standardization, and Training. I also focused on “tearing down the wall” between the upper Management and operations. I subscribe to the train of thought that Executive Management needs a presence on the floor and spent a great deal of my time in the plant and working directly with employees. Given my back ground this is a very natural way to manage.
