1. Ski Instructor and Staff Trainer

   I am responsible for the education and safety of 7 – 14 year old children in the ski school’s Mountain Camp program. I evaluate each child’s ability and athleticism and tailor the day’s instruction to their individual needs and learning styles. Oftentimes the classes are conducted “auf piste”, that is, off the designated trail system where safety is paramount. I include safety instruction with the skiing portion so the children learn, not only how to ski at a higher level, but how to be safe in an inherently unsafe environmentI am also a staff trainer, providing skiing and teaching training to the returning and continuing ski school staff. The purpose of this training is to assist the staff in attaining their personal and professional goals. I also train the new-hires, giving them the tools and confidence required to get started in what is truly a difficult and demanding position
