ABOUT KEVIN A PETERSON
Dr. Peterson is Professor Emeritus at the University of Minnesota (UMN) Medical School and former Vice President of Primary Care at the American Diabetes Association. He directed the Center of Excellence in Primary Care with additional appointments in the Institute for Health Informatics and the Institute for Engineering in Medicine at the UMN. He founded the medical artificial intelligence company Treatment.com AI in 2016, now a subsidiary of Rocket Doctor AI, Inc. A Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), Dr. Peterson has over 30 years of experience translating research into community clinical practice. He has led multiple studies for the National Institutes of Health and developed several medical technologies. As the national Director for the AHRQ Practice Based Research Network (PBRN) Resource Center, his team provided research support for over primary care practices. Dr. Peterson’s research has focused on diabetes and chronic disease, primary care, practice-based research networks, engineering innovative solutions, clinical trials, clinical delivery models, and dissemination science.
