I\'m a product-focused engineer who believes the best software happens when you build with people, not just for them. I specialize in React Native and TypeScript, and I\'m currently pursuing a Master\'s in Human Computer Interaction at DePaul to strengthen how I connect engineering and UX.My superpower in empathy. I consider multiple viewpoints when building features, thinking about the end user, the designer\'s intent, the business goal, and the maintainability of the code all at once. I keep the team aligned while pushing work forward, and I look for those small UX delights that make products feel thoughtful.I\'ve spent the last several years building everything from enterprise e-commerce solutions to rapid client integrations across web and mobile platforms. 1. Senior Software Engineer

   Oct 2024 — Present · Chicago, IL, US

   I\'m one of the primary frontend engineers at Pie, a social events platform based in Chicago. When I joined, the product was an iOS-only Swift app. I led the build of a cross-platform React Native app on Expo and migrated the web platform from a client-rendered React app to Next.js for better discoverability across the web.Most of my recent work has been about building the technical foundations that let us move fast without things falling apart: a design token pipeline that translates our designer\'s Figma tokens into usable styles for both web and mobile, a shared API layer so we\'re not duplicating logic across codebases, and a shared component library for the web. I also just finished a navigation overhaul that\'s already driven a 3x increase in how often users find core parts of the product.Day-to-day I work in TypeScript, React Native, and Next.js It\'s a small team with a lot of ownership. I\'m making most of the technical decisions on the web side and collaborating directly with product and design.
