ABOUT KEVAN GARTLAND
I have more than 35 years experience in Toxicology and product safety assessment as a Wellcome Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Academia and from industry in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and the Speciality Chemicals sectors. In addition I have more than 30 years experience in working with government agencies to successfully obtain formulated product and active ingredient authorisations as a prerequisite to marketing authorisation, as well as responding to consumer and customer queries relating to toxicology, product safety, regulatory affairs and to accidental poisoning events. I have more than 20 Peer-reviewed publications, 2 patents and numerous other publications in the scientific literature e.g. conference proceedings, book chapters, inter alia. Specialties: Toxicology; Product safety; regulatory affairs; classification & labelling of chemicals & preparations (mixtures); CLP Regulation [1272/2008]; project management; problem-solving; biocidal products regulation (528/2012/EU); consumer product recalls; mechanistic toxicology; insecticide formulations.
