ABOUT KEV CUNNINGHAM

I am a professional operations specialist, business leader, manager and mentor with in-depth industry knowledge in operations, engineering, passenger, freight, plant and civil engineering. An out the box thinker, who is not afraid of a challenge, my philosophy is to always think differently, to add value, influence and create a successful and stable environment. My experience is vast with the foundations beginning in railway operations and senior management. Always seeking new challenges I have pushed myself forward to understand the essence of several disciplines with an open view that one day this will lead me to use these skills, either internationally or in a different sector. Lead, manage, mentor and empower my team(s), peers and senior leaders (all of various disciplines) to ensure that we deliver a safe, reliable and right time railway. Provide support, direction and take overall ownership and accountability for day to day problem solving including proactively looking to ensure there is a resolution to suit all parties. My skill set includes, HSEQ, train performance, TOC and FOC relations, derailments, disaster management, overhead line incidents, fatalities, cable theft and weather related events, infrastructure management from SMTH standards to track maintenance delivery, track renewals and various high level rail & civils projects. Multi discipline incident investigations to determine accountabilities / ownership. Staff disciplinary and investigation processes, and collating all relevant information to the case.Positions held previously: Control Manager, Route Control Manager, Delay Attribution Manager, Site Manager, Fleet Management, Senior Controller (Post & pre Integration), Senior Train Running Controller, Senior Signalman and Trackman.
