This includes identifying all systems, applications, and processes that handle, store, or transmit CUI.GRC Platform Implementation: Utilize a GRC platform to automate and manage the CMMC assessment process. This includes populating the platform with evidence, policies, and procedures, and creating a single source of truth for compliance data.System Security Plan (SSP) and Plan of Action & Milestones (POA & M): Develop and maintain the System Security Plan (SSP) that details our approach to CUI protection and documenting all identified deficiencies and remediation plans in a comprehensive Plan of Action & Milestones (POA & M).Remediation and Control Implementation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g, IT, Security Operations, and Legal) to implement technical and procedural controls necessary to close compliance gaps. This involves everything from access control and mobile device security to incident response and vulnerability management.Evidence Collection and Assessment Preparation: Maintain readiness for the official CMMC assessment by a Certified Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO). Collect and organize evidence, conduct mock assessments, and ensure all documentation is accurate and ready for review.
