About Jon Kessler

My name is Jon Kessler. I have the honor to lead and serve the world’s greatest team focused on helping organizations adopt AI in a way that protects people, strengthens trust, and elevates the work legal and compliance teams do every day. My team is made up of incredible subject matter experts who help clients adopt AI responsibly with Microsoft Purview. We provide advisory across Copilot, data security, data governance, data migration, legal hold, preservation management, data privacy, insider risk, and records management. During my time as VP and GM, my team has grown significantly, and we have aligned and strengthened a global, deeply collaborative partnership with Microsoft engineering, customer success and sales for AI, security and compliance.Together as a team, we’ve earned recognition as Microsoft’s Global Data Security & Compliance Partner of the Year and we’re multi‑year finalists, a reflection of the amazing work our people put in every single day. I was honored to be named a finalist for the 2026 Microsoft Security Changemaker Award, for excellence in cybersecurity and pioneering innovation in AI. I’ve spent much of my career working on complex projects in heavily regulated industries. That work has taken me into legal, compliance, forensics, eDiscovery, and most recently AI and data governance. I genuinely enjoy the moments when I get to share my passion for what I’ve learned with governments and companies around the world. Before joining Epiq in 2011, I held senior leadership roles at two forensic firms, led more than 600 forensic examinations, and oversaw many others. I have served as an expert witness in both federal and state courts. These experiences over decades trained me to spot patterns early and design solutions that work ten steps out, not just for the problem in front of us.What motivates me most, is the opportunity to build environments where people can grow and thrive. I think a lot about how technology can free teams from repetitive work so they can focus on judgment, critical thinking, and the parts of the job only humans can do. That belief is a big part of why I’m investing so deeply in our work in India; to create healthier, more sustainable roles and build a model that supports both high performance and high quality of life.I am deeply optimistic about where we’re headed; a future where we work more securely, think more clearly, and use AI to give people the time and space to do the work that really matters. I am excited and motivated by the role my team will have in building what’s ahead.
