ABOUT KIM W.

Tech Career Development Director | Uplift EducationAt Uplift Education, I’m working to reimagine how students connect with technology—not just as a subject to learn, but as a living, evolving force that shapes our lives, our communities, and the jobs of the future. My focus is on helping young people understand where technology shows up—in digital tools, infrastructure, engineering, design, skilled trades—and how they can take part in building what comes next.Technology was never meant to be limited to screens and code. It’s about solving problems, creating systems, and improving lives. That vision guides everything we do—from exposing students to emerging careers, to building long-term support structures that carry them beyond high school. This year, we launched our first Tech Expo, where students met CTOs, AI researchers, public safety drone teams, and engineers. Events like this, along with alumni hackathons and hands-on panels, are helping us redefine what’s possible. We’re now laying the groundwork for something even bigger: a space where students can build, tinker, test, and dream—a tech lab where AI, robotics, and real-world challenges come together. With the right partners, we believe we can create something that doesn’t yet exist in our region. If you\'re passionate about preparing young people for what’s next—not just in the digital world, but in the deeply human work of building and maintaining our technological future—I’d love to connect. We’re looking for thought partners, mentors, and those who want to help us grow something meaningful.
