Oversee STAT regulatory filings by performing detailed reviews of financials, while applying a high degree of professional skepticism and ensuring compliance with statutory regulation.Quarterly Yellow book reporting package includes Balance sheet, Income statement, Cash flow & schedules/ supplement related to Underwriting Premium and Losses of multiple entities. Present quarterly and annual financial results to the senior management. Being one of the key contact for client senior management for analysis and reports for group performance results. Provide and publish STAT Analytics along with GAAP to STAT walk with insightful analysis and commentary regarding monthly and quarterly variances. Measure financial ratios such as solvency, profitability, growth etc. to determine financial position and propose enhancement recommendations. Review journal entries, intercompany reconciliation and ensuring all expenses and revenue were booked in the proper period in compliance with SSAP. Monitor changes in NAIC instructions w.r.t. accounting guidance and new reporting schedules/supplement and work with business partners to update the disclosure in timely manner. Consistently meet deadlines while demonstrating strong analytical and problem solving skills to achieve corporate objective.Work closely with operating departments in various projects to continuously improve processes, internal control and to provide financial advice. Delivering ad-hoc analytical requests to senior leadership with a quick turnaround. Ensure all operational documentation is maintained and is best in class. Provide on-going feedback and coaching to staff to improve individual and team performance. Manage resourcing in the team to ensure daily filing responsibilities are carried out accurately and in timely manner. Ensure internal controls are properly designed, implemented and documented.
