I work on identity systems at Microsoft, focusing on how authentication and authorization are designed and behave across distributed environments. With close to 17 years in enterprise identity and security, my experience spans traditional directory services through to modern cloud identity systems.My work centers on the implementation of auth pipelines how requests are processed, tokens are issued, claims are constructed, and access decisions are enforced across services. A lot of my focus is on non-trivial scenarios: multi-hop requests, cross-tenant interactions, session continuity, and how context (device, network, workload) is carried and evaluated end-to-end.From an architecture standpoint, I work across federation, hybrid identity, and tenant isolation models. The goal is to make loosely coupled systems behave consistently especially where protocols, clients, and backend services intersect. This involves thinking through trust boundaries, delegation models, and how identity signals propagate across systems without breaking assumptions.I operate close to the implementation layer bridging how identity is designed with how it actually executes.Security is intrinsic to this work ensuring access decisions are deterministic, auditable, and resilient as systems move toward continuous evaluation and dynamic enforcement.More recently, I’ve been exploring how these models extend to AI-driven workloads where agents act on behalf of users, and traditional assumptions around sessions, delegation, and trust need to be rethought.
