Mechanically characterized carbon fiber-reinforced DCPD composite tubes for in-space manufacturing applications, supported by NASA through the Illinois Space Grant Consortium- Performed material testing including tensile testing of flat laminate specimens, split disk testing, and three-point bending of tubes using LabView Software and Servo-Hydraulic Frames at the Advanced Materials Testing and Evaluation Laboratory (AMTEL) at UIUC- Used Digital Image Correlation (VIC3D) for strain measurement and analysis during mechanical testing- Modified finite element models in Abaqus to simulate 3 point bend tests- Processed experimental data using MATLAB to extract material properties such as Tensile Modulus- Conducted metrology on multiple tubes at points through the length and verified to be consistent in quality through its length- Presented research at the UIUC STEM Career Exploration and Symposium on July 24, 2025
