About Sharon Kersten

Since 1995, Kersten Communications has provided comprehensive public relations and marketing services for a broad range of clients, specializing in event promotion, hospitality and LGBT markets. Founder Sharon Kersten has a diversified background in the areas of media relations, marketing and event planning, working with both corporate and non-profit clientele. A resident of Fort Lauderdale, Sharon graduated from Brandeis University with a B.A. in English Literature, and received a Master’s Degree in Media & Communications from New School University in New York City. Prior to moving from New York to Florida, Sharon worked as Marketing Research Analyst for The Wall Street Journal, Marketing Research Manager for Barron’s and Sales Associate for Restaurant Business and Restaurant Design magazines. Her professional experience in South Florida includes five years as a Public Relations Specialist at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Manager of an in-house advertising agency, overseeing 200+ offices
