ABOUT KERRY JOHNSTON

Kerry Johnston recently rejoined Humber Polytechnic as a contract faculty member and curriculum specialist after retiring as the academic program coordinator of the Sustainable Energy and Building Technology Program at Humber College in August 2023. Kerry led the creation and development of its curriculum, work integrated learning opportunities and industry connections since the program’s launch in 2008. This unique program provides graduates with a portfolio of skills that support the transformation of energy systems, buildings and communities for a low carbon future. In recent years, Kerry\'s role expanded to support international academic initiatives with Humber students in Denmark and Northern Ireland, a Sustainable Social Housing COIL project with partner universities in Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands, articulation pathways from India and has served as subject matter expert and curriculum specialist for Humber’s International Development Institute’s involvement in the Kenya Education for Employment Program (KEFEP), helping Kenyan Polytechnics implement competency based education and training for solar photovoltaic systems.
