After 12 years in accounting practice I obtained a practising certificate in order to establish my own accounting and business advisory practice.A key focus of the business is to help provide high end financial oversight to OMB’s/SME\'s acting as part time finance director or management accountant.Target clients are SME\'s where they require high end resource but there is not a full time or part time role but assistance is required on a monthly, quarterly or ad hoc basis.Standard accountancy practice due to high charge out rates struggle to provide these services at commercially viable rates and I believe this is a gap in the market.Examples of services are as follows-Preparation of management accounts and other historical financial information-Preparation of financial projections (budgets and cash flows)- business turnaround- positioning business for sale- reviewing potential acquisitions-Liaising with bank to obtain finance-Help improve business and finance processes in order to identify and improve efficiency leading to increased gross and net profit margins- Assist with business development in order to increase revenues-Preparation of statutory accounts and information for statutory audit.Over the years I have a solid network of advisers in respect to law, financial advice, banking and human resources which all can be called upon as part of my work.The company still providers core accounting services as follows- Preparation of Ltd company, partnership and sole trade accounts- Preparation of corporation tax returns- Preparation of self assessment tax returns- Assistance with payroll and PAYE issues- Basic tax planning and efficient remuneration strategies.
