ABOUT KERRY DRYBURGH
My career began with an apprenticeship at 16. While I once felt self-conscious about my start in life, I’m now proud of the path it helped me shape. Since being appointed bp’s EVP for people, culture & communications and the company’s chief human resources and communications officer in 2020, I’ve had the privilege of leading a powerhouse team that is developing, empowering, engaging and rewarding employees as we deliver energy to the world, today and tomorrow. As architects of bp’s people experience, our work informs and influences strategy, performance, culture and transformation. Together, we are writing the next chapter of bp. We are developing a high-performance team that’s inclusive, resilient and future-ready. This includes creating opportunities to build skills, empowering leadership at all levels, and deploying a human-centered approach to data and technology. Overall – our work is helping bp become a simpler, more focused and higher-value energy company. My experience pursuing higher education later in life makes me passionate about helping others access opportunities, regardless of their background. I care deeply about personal resilience and leadership that balances performance with care. Outside of work, I’m a mother of three, a beekeeper, a yoga enthusiast and runner – training for marathons are a reminder that when you need resilience and courage, it’s there, deep inside.
