ABOUT KERRIS HOUGARDY
I’m a business leader who happens to work in HR. My work sits at the intersection of strategy, people, and performance. I partner with executives and leadership teams to solve complex human capital challenges, build resilient organizations, and create the conditions where people and businesses can succeed together.Over the course of my career, I’ve led high-performing People teams through growth, transformation, and difficult moments that test an organization’s culture and leadership. I believe HR is most valuable when it understands the business deeply, challenges leaders to think clearly about their decisions, and helps organizations move forward with both humanity and accountability. My focus areas include leadership development, employee experience, organizational culture, talent strategy, and navigating change at scale. I care deeply about building workplaces where trust, clarity, and high performance can coexist.I’m also deeply interested in the future of work. As technology reshapes organizations, I see HR leaders playing an essential role in helping companies navigate the relationship between humans and intelligent machines. I often describe myself as a humanist in a technological age, passionate about enabling thoughtful and responsible Human + AI collaboration.Outside my day-to-day role, I speak and write about leadership, employee experience, AI in HR, diversity and inclusion, and the evolving role of People leaders in modern organizations. I’m also interested in board and advisory opportunities where thoughtful leadership, strong culture, and strategic people practices can help organizations grow and adapt.I’m always open to conversations with leaders who are thinking deeply about the future of work, the role of HR as a true business partner, and how organizations can build both high performance and human-centered cultures.
