Initially hired as an Engineer, moved into management, due to passion for helping and supporting others, with a hands-on role and initial team size of 5. Interim\'d as Senior Manager Web Development for 2 years and now responsible for a full team of 40 Engineers across multiple scrum teams and locations including UK, Ukraine, Poland, and India. Responsible for the Viking eCommerce websites across 8 European Countries, multiple microservices,Legacy Contract Website, and Salesforce CRM. Experience managing Engineers who are at various stages of their careers and include a mixture of skillsets such as Frontend, Backend (Java), CRM (Salesforce), Engineering Managers, and DevOps. Includescareer progression, succession planning, technical upskilling, regular 1-2-1’s, and performance reviews. Results driven, uses Goal Setting techniques and champions Software Development standards, such as TDD, to ensure quality is delivered. Experience managing relationships with Suppliers and Account Managers. Feedback given has always been that positivity and openness allows for a smooth working practice. Experience interviewing, onboarding and evaluating technical experts for team and organisational success. Encourages growth, passion, motivation and empowerment by regular communication with the team,example is organising team hackathons which allow for imagination and creativity outside of the day today. Input to the departments budgets, setting up purchase orders, receiving invoices, and validating the financial forecasts for the team, as well as constantly reviewing and reconciling costs.
