About Kerri Berkey

I’m a senior at Michigan State University pursuing a degree in Accounting through the Eli Broad College of Business and beginning my Master’s in Accounting in Fall 2025. As a member of the Honors College, I take pride in maintaining a strong academic record while actively engaging in leadership and professional development opportunities. On campus, I am involved in Women in Business, Alpha Chi Omega, and the Transactions Service Association. These experiences have strengthened my communication, organization, and collaboration skills, and reflect my commitment to growing both personally and professionally. I am a motivated and thoughtful student with a genuine passion for business and a strong desire to continue learning. I am currently exploring opportunities to expand my knowledge in accounting and related fields through meaningful internship or mentorship experiences.

   Support tax and audit teams by preparing work papers, performing data entry, and assisting with reconciliations for individual and business clients. Performed regular payrolls for local small businesses in the area. Gained exposure to public accounting practices, including tax preparation, financial statement review, and client file organization. Collaborated with CPAs and staff accountants on a variety of engagements, enhancing attention to detail and practical understanding of GAAP and IRS compliance. Participated in staff meetings and firm events to strengthen professional development and firm-wide communication.
