Fareham, GB

I defined the PMO’s vision, strategy and objectives from scratch. From these I created the 2025 objectives for the project managers, and I implemented many improvements to the development processes and tools. I also managed the development and release of the company’s Android-based operating system (running on all its core products), and released several new products to market.

ABOUT KERI BILLEN

PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY Very strong track record of devising and leading a programme/project management office (PMO) in high-technology industries, from the earliest stages of product definition to post-launch support. I enjoy creating and optimising development/operational processes that balance rigour with agility, combined with deep usage of modern tools and systems. I strive constantly to improve how things are done. Having travelled to nearly 40 countries, lived overseas, and worked remotely since 2009, I am adept at managing multinational stakeholders and teams. With a natural curiosity and ability to understand how things work, I can apply myself to many types of leading-edge products and services. PERSONAL SUMMARY Ph.D and 2i honours degree in physics. Diploma in business management. Author of eight scientific publications. Keynote speaker at a major scientific conference in Egypt in 1996. Was a school governor, dealing in finances and the teaching of maths and science. Directed a fundraising group that acquired a life-saving mobile neurological scanner for Southampton Hospital. Regular blood donor since I was 18. Volunteer for deliveries of essential items during the Covid-19 lockdowns. Volunteer Covid-19 tester at a local school. Volunteer contributor to grid computing. VALUES AND BELIEFS Industry standards provide a solid foundation. Keep It Simple Stupid. Provide transparent info at everyone\'s fingertips. Streamline to add value and reduce admin. Goals are the best motivator. Develop and support all those around you. Micromanagement is counterproductive. Time to evaluate and think is essential. Magic bullets rarely exist. Opportunities for marginal gains are everywhere.
