About Kenzie Hughes

As a sports enthusiast and communicator, I am passionate about sharing stories and insights from the world of athletics. I graduated from the University of Alabama with a BA in Communication Studies, focusing on public relations, and I am currently pursuing a master\'s degree in Sports Management.I have gained valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of sports media and marketing through my roles as an On Air Talent at Crimson Tide Productions (CTP) and a Student Assistant at Athletic Communications. At CTP, I co-host weekly sports coverage shows and live events, such as the National Signing Day and the SEC Network digital softball shows. I also worked as a sideline reporter and the host for the Sponsored halftime shows for home football games at Bryant Denny Stadium.At Athletic Communications, I acted as the secondary media contact for the Alabama Men\'s and Women\'s Basketball teams, managing their social media presence, writing press releases, and editing online materials using Adobe platforms. I also assisted with media credentialing and event planning for other sports teams, such as football, softball and gymnastics. In the summer of 2022, I had the incredible opportunity to intern for the Los Angeles Sparks in Events and Entertainment Marketing. I learned how a professional organization implements in-venue marketing strategies and tactics, from talent relations to preparing in-game materials. I also contributed to enhancing the fan experience and engagement at the Staples Center and witnessed first-hand how vital influencer marketing can be.My goal is to leverage my skills and knowledge in sports management, communication, production and marketing to create impactful and exciting content and events for sports fans and stakeholders. I am always eager to learn new things and collaborate with others who share my passion and vision.
