About Kenya Miles

I use my leadership and training talents to work toward bettering social conditions within communities. I overcame naysayer concerns and earned my degrees and LCSW credentials while balancing academic and employment obligations. The structure, education, training, and support I brought to employees in leadership and training roles directly aligns with effective ways to modify behaviors and improve overall quality of life for clients with mental, physical, and emotional challenges. Clearly established expectations and boundaries provide the foundation for most successful interactions. GOALS: SPECIFIC MEASURABLE INCREMENTAL ACHIEVABLE FLUID While devoted to “my” Veterans at the VA, I also have a burgeoning private practice and am active in the LCSW community. I provide expertise serving on many LCSW-related boards and committees. Clearly defining vision, I contribute to setting regional and national standards and as a staunch advocate for LCSW excellence, I help influence state legislation. PATIENT & PRACTITIONER ENGAGEMENT COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT & LIAISON COMMUNICATION ADVOCACY POLICIES & PROCEDURES Understanding the analysis needed for successful operations and training transitioned well into collaborative care planning and case management. A firm grasp of people and learning motivation delivers effective interactions and successful outcomes in clinical and advocacy settings.
