Working in the Fibroid Center under Dr. Nyia Noel and Dr. Kelly Treder to center patients and think about a shared decision-making model of care for women, particularly black women so they have more autonomy over how they are treated. Additionally, I am working with Julie Mottl-Santiago(CNM) to understand patients\' wants and needs for a hospital based birth center and doula services and the impact that doulas can have on improving birth experiences, particularly for patients with little to no support.
