About Ken Worzel

I bring to boards a rare combination of large-scale digital transformation experience, proven board governance leadership, and multi-industry strategic perspective.I currently serve as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, a Fortune 36 company and the nation’s largest auto and home insurer, with $125+ billion in revenue and 96 million policies. Elected Chairman in December 2024 after serving as a director since 2018, I work closely with the President & CEO on strategic direction and governance. I currently serve on the Executive and Nominating/Governance committees, and previously chaired the Compensation Committee and served on the Technology Committee.I am also Chief Customer Officer at Nordstrom, Inc, where I oversee the company’s ~$6 billion digital commerce business, our marketing and loyalty organization, our credit card business, and our customer analytics and Ux teams. Over 15 years and four progressively senior roles, I have helped lead Nordstrom’s digital transformation, building the e-commerce platform into the industry’s leading fashion e-commerce business and scaling a $1 billion off-price e-commerce business from the ground up.My governance experience also includes serving as Lead External Director at Les Schwab Tire Centers, where I led the CEO transition and positioned the company for a successful exit ($3B+ sale). Prior to Nordstrom, I spent nearly 20 years as a strategy consultant as a Partner at McKinsey & Company and Managing Partner at Marakon Associates, advising C-suite leaders across a variety of industries including retail, healthcare, and media.I welcome conversations about board opportunities where my experience in digital transformation, omnichannel strategy, and corporate governance can add value.
