About Kenton Shaw
Geophysicist working the Delaware Basin with experience in the Powder River Basin. I have interpreted seismic data for the Bone Spring, Avalon (Leonard), and most recently the Wolfcamp formations for three years. I currently am working JiFi inversions for all formations, Bone Spring and Wolfcamp, using RokDoc software over all of Devon\'s Delaware Basin assets. My experience extends into execution geophysics, helping to drill over 100 wells as well as basin mapping of both structural and stratigraphic oil plays in the Delaware Basin using amplitude and inversion seismic data. Outside of Devon, I currently serve on the board as President of the Geophysical Society of Oklahoma City, Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma\'s Leadership Council Mission Committee Chair and President-Elect, and a member of the Allied Arts ARTini Event Committee.

Subsurface Team, Delaware Basin 2020 - Present- Working full column Ji-Fi inversions for the Delaware Basin focused primarily in Eddy County, NM- Trained under Steve Smith in RokDoc software, gaining unconventional experience throughout the Delaware Basin- Produced multiple, large seismic volumes used for interpretation and evaluation of reservoirsEddy County Asset Team, Delaware Basin 20••••20- Evaluated Bone Spring and Wolfcamp Formations for geohazards and hydrocarbon generation- Provided technical updates and recommendations to senior leadership and asset teams- Helped with the transition from using just amplitude data to interpret on to more datasets including inversion volumes for geophysical interpretationLea County Asset Team, Delaware Basin 20••••19- Led a proposal to drill and execute on highly structured wells- Worked through the entire process of drilling a well from tops picking to working with Completions EngineersExecution Team, Delaware Basin 20••••18- Helped plan and execute over 150 wells in the Delaware Basin- Personally geosteered more than 25 wells with a >90% in-zone percentage- Led the push for advocating for more robust interpretations to be used while geosteering unconventional oil playsRockies Team, Powder River Basin 2016- Worked a new play concept
