ABOUT KENT CHENERY

I have been working with databases in a DBA, architect or consulting practice for over 20 years. Most of that experience can, undoubtably, be said to be with SQL Server. I have also gained considerable experience with PostgreSQL and ElasticSearch. I enjoy taking difficult data problems and making them trivial to work with for developers and end users whether through SQL or NoSQL. More recently I have been challenging companies to embrace database DevOps to speed up delivery, improving deployment success and reducing reliance on specific organisational teams. I enjoy designing solutions that meet and exceed business needs at a cost that is acceptable. I love the challenge of providing a data solution that can grow as the business grows allowing your data to scale and maintain performance. I am interested in working with people and companies that want to make their IT \"sing\" for them. I would love to hear from companies who are facing the challenge of moving their data infrastructure into the cloud or are struggling to adopt \"infrastructure as code\" especially around complex data and deployment models.
