ABOUT KENT ZHANG

Born and raised in San Francisco, California surrounded by technological influences throughout my whole life. From playing video games to learning how to design and code them, fueled a passion to challenge myself to learn and solve new problems that create an impact to our always technological advancing society. Other hobbies of mine include powerlifting, bodybuilding, basketball, football, and exploring new places to eat. Graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, a major that includes extensive software, hardware, and electrical engineering background. Current App Academy student always looking for new projects and concepts to learn next! As a full stack software developer, I enjoy working with React, Redux, Ruby on Rails, MongoDB, Express, Node.js. One of my favorite projects that I have completed is a clone web application of Yelp, demonstrating use of React-Redux and Ruby on Rails. A current project that I am working on is an original web application called Plant Press. This app allows you to create/store plants in your own personal collection and allowing you to create reminders/posts while following other users\' plants and regimens.
