About Kent Utt
I started in the banking industry directly out of undergraduate school and I obtained my MBA while working at the bank. Our bank and my responsibilities continued to grow. We eventually were acquired by a regional financial institution and underwent several mergers/acquisitions where I played a key regional role. My final position with Regions Bank was SVP, regional consumer and small business sales manager and Community Bank President where my responsibilities included a geography of thirteen counties in southwestern Indiana and southeastern Illinois. I worked for the bank for 26 years and then accepted a position as the president/CEO of Knox County Development Corporation (KCDC). I had served as a volunteer and held leaderships roles for multiple years with KCDC, Knox County Chamber of Commerce and Knox County Community Foundation and felt the timing was right to serve as the leader for economic development in Knox County. I held this position for five years. Through a passion for real estate and financial services, I obtained my appraisal trainee certification in the state of Indiana. I mentored with a Certified General Appraiser (Eric Klein with Appraisal Services) to become fully certified. I obtained my certified residential appraisal license in April of 2021 and started my own company, K&K Appraisal Services LLC. In addition, I do consulting for large scale solar including land acquisition, government relations, economic development, community liaison. I consider myself a results oriented, passionate leader who excels in the financial industry and fosters positive relationships.
