Kent is currently leading the design teams in SOM’s London office. His recent experience includes coordinating interdisciplinary teams for the following projects:• United Nations of Geneva (UNOG), Geneva, Switzerland: strategic Heritage Plan that includes structural engineering, programming, architectural and interior design services for the UN’s 2.3 million sf Geneva campus. • 100 Leadenhall Street, London, UK: Architecture and structural engineering for a new 56 storey tower for the City of London’s eastern cluster.• Manhattan Loft Gardens, London, UK: Architecture, structural and civil engineering for a 42 storey, mixed-use residential and hotel complex designed to meet high UK environmental standards.• JTI Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland: Competition-winning, structural engineering, architectural and interior design of a sm international headquarters building in the Secheron area of the city.

ABOUT KENT JACKSON
Kent Jackson is a Design Partner at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), where he leads designs across Europe out of the London office. Most notably, these include the renovation of the United Nations’ Palais de Nations complex in Geneva; the nearly-complete Karlatornet, Scandinavia’s tallest building in Gothenburg; Charenton-Bercy, Paris’s first net-zero-carbon district; and the award-winning Manhattan Loft Gardens, a 42-storey residential tower adjacent to Olympic Park in London.Kent also co-leads SOM’s Climate Action Group, which advances the firm’s pledge to meet the RIBA and AIA 2030 and 2050 commitments. In his role as Global Ambassador for the World Green Building Council, he works to amplify the call to action for governments and policymakers to accelerate the transition to net-zero carbon buildings.Kent has spoken widely at conferences and architectural schools around the world. In 2021, he was invited by the United Nations to speak at the 26th UN Climate Change Conference. In 2022, Kent spoke at TEDxGoodenoughCollege about Urban Sequoia: a radical new concept to build carbon negative cities.
