Experience

  1. Customer Service Leader and Sr Financial Analyst

    Nordstrom

Nov 2015 — Present · Seattle, WA, US

Customer obsessed: orchestrated unusual B2B $70k sale for our Flagship Seattle Store after the manager was told there was no way to make the sale happen due to the lack of infrastructure for B2B sales. Nordstrom is known for our customer service, so I wouldn’t take “no” for the final word. I aligned store sales department, warehouse, logistics, credit, sales audit, cash room, service experience and accounts payable to successfully work in concert and make the sale for the store within the 10-day deadline.• As the financial liaison to stores, I drive results through educating and coaching regional managers, store managers, and store administrators on financial matters, including cost control, research and invoice coding. I prepare and analyze 41 regional monthly P & Ls, develop annual budgets, analyze and forecast the division’s Direct Sell OH and Department Manager related P&L lines.• By analyzing regional P & Ls of the SE region, I was able to influence the region’s operations by suggesting course corrections to the regional SVP, that ultimately helped drive operations and led to wins in 4 out of 5 key metrics used to measure FY 2018.• After previous NW Regional SVP suggested that the new Regional SVP, with no previous financial experience, lean on me, my coaching helped earn a top 3 finish (out of 8 regions) in 4 out of 5 key metrics.• Revamped and implemented full-price stores’ department manager quarterly bonus accrual process, reducing time spent by 75% and increasing accuracy by 97%.• Developed and presented 41 semi-annual regional planning meeting financial materials; created and presented group finance training for 41 store administrators in two regions. Led annual fixed asset ledger clean-up process for 161 (all) Full Line Stores.
