I spent 24+ years working for Neiman Marcus. Then in October of 2015 I was one of 500 people laid-off. I never saw this coming. I was totally thrown off my axis. I had planned to work for Neiman Marcus until retirement. I am happy to say that I was able to survive this change that was decided for me. So those of you that are struggling right now, you too can be a survivor! When I was asked by my career counselor what I wanted to do. I thought long and hard and could only tell her what I did not want to do. I did not want a corporate job, or anything in retail. I needed to do something fun. It was after realizing what I wanted, I began my journey as an entrepreneur in November of 2015. I started working for myself out of my home, creating my own hours, being home for my family. I started working with multi-million dollar earners that are helping me achieve my success. I sat down and thought what am I passionate about, what do I love doing, where do I want my life journey to take me.That’s when my journey as an entrepreneur began. In November of 2015, I started working for myself out of my home. I have the great opportunity that I get to work with multi-million dollar earners that are helping me achieve my success. I do miss all of my friends from Neiman Marcus, but this was a gift given to me.
