Since graduating from the University of Michigan in 2011, I have worked as an industrial designer on various projects, from toys and consumer product prototypes to social impact initiatives. Highlights include:• Awarded a grant from Kaboom! to develop a playground that promotes learning through play by leveraging co-design and Human Centered Design methodologies.• Designed educational play systems for the Lego Foundation to support their mission of enhancing childhood education in developing countries.• Created inclusive design workshops adaptable to after-school STEAM activities, adult design courses, and job training programs; taught 100+ people a range of design skills• Transformed a single toy into a modular building system, leading to lower production costs and distribution by a major toy retailer.• Developed a research-based educational toy called CanU that grows with a child’s cognitive abilities through design and psychology.
