It is one of the most important decisions you will make. There are over a thousand communities to choose from in the Los Angeles area. Within those thousand there are independent, assisted living, memory care, residential care and skilled nursing facilities. They range from not so good to excellent. From well run and beautiful to poorly run and ugly. Going to a website is not going to give you the inside look on what a facility is really like. As the owner of Senior Living Advocates, it is my duty and responsibility to know all the ins and outs about these facilities, in order to guide and advise families on making the best choice based on your senior’s needs. TRUSTWORTHINESS! That is the most important word to me when doing my job. I help solve one very important problem as an elder care consultant.When the older adult no longer wants to or can age in place, then I find the ideal living community, based on the loved one\'s needs and wants, at no cost to the families I work with. I am committed to delivering on the family\'s goals. I meet with the older adult and their family to do an assessment of those needs and wants such as type of care, budget, geographic preference amenities/activities they are looking for, etc. I will then tour with the family to the communities that meet those various needs mentioned above. I help negotiate the best deal possible for those families and help with the paperwork and transition.
