WORK HISTORY
Gis @City Of Columbia, Missouri
Columbia, MO, US
As a geospatial professional, much of my time involves enhancing LiDAR datasets for the city through improving classification, producing derivative elevation products including 2-ft contours and depressions of 6\" or more by writing automated methods in python and Model Builder, and cross-walking elevation attributes to other core city GIS datasets. I have given over thirty presentations at conferences, workshops, and meetings with clients. I have written over twenty-five GIS how-to production papers, numerous research papers, technical standards, White Papers, training materials, taught GIS and remote sensing to college students in classroom setting, developed a 44-step Hydro Geodatabase production methodology using LiDAR terrain data for a county-wide project, created the procedures for the automated attribution of building heights onto structure footprints from LiDAR data, and the creation of 2-ft contours from LiDAR data. I\'ve been producing a variety of GIS datasets and maps for city and non-city personnel using core city GIS datasets including aerial imagery, census, slope analysis for trails and roads, GIS transportation geodatabases, and routing. I been busy editing SDE planimetric databases including structures, sidewalks, city boundary, zoning, and trash service routing using the full suite of ArcGIS, supervising interns updating core GIS databases, georeferencing plats and plans of new developments, and overseeing and QA/QC contracted LiDAR, aerial imagery, and planimetrics projects for the city.

ABOUT KENNY LEGLEITER
My geospatial technology experience includes eight years of local government experience, seven years of federal government experience as a Cartographer with the USDA-NRCS as the Elevation Technical Representative and Watershed Boundary Dataset Leader, eight years of Project Management and geospatial production experience, and two years of teaching college classes. Proven results in over 23 years of challenging geospatial experience with local government, federal government, and private geospatial firms in LiDAR, aerial photography, cartography, project management, and GIS. Strong leadership as the National Technical Coordinator on the development of the National Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD) and Technical Representative on the National Digital Elevation Program (NDEP). Project Manager on Wichita-Sedgwick County, KS LiDAR and Aerial Imagery Project including being a finalist for the National American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Engineering Award for Best Project 2009, ACEC/CO Surveying & Mapping Excellence Award Winner 2009, Management Association for Private Photogrammetric Surveyors (MAPPS) National Geospatial Project of the Year 2009, and MAPPS Grand Award Winner Elevation Category 2009. I have improved efficiency in production, written programs in Model Builder and Python, developed procedures, and oversaw and took part in GIS production on complicated projects. I have experience using Esri ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine, QCoherent LP360, MicroStation, GeoCue, and Microsoft Office. I have given over thirty presentations at conferences, workshops, and meetings with clients. I have written over fifteen GIS how-to production papers, numerous research papers, technical standards, White Papers, training materials, and developed a 44-step Hydro Geodatabase production methodology using LiDAR terrain data. Project Management experience on geospatial projects up to $2.4 million with budgeting, scheduling, communicating and interacting with clients through phone, email, in person, overseeing production, QA/QC deliverables, closed-out projects, completed projects on tight timelines, managed subcontracting, and writing of specifications and contracts. I completed a Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography with a Secondary Degree in Natural Resources Environmental Science and a Masters of Science in Resources Planning.
