Hey! I’m Kennita Hickman, Founder and Owner of Catera. Catera is a content creation and media production company that connects creatives with businesses. I produce live events, brand campaigns, brand partnerships and content that amplifies both businesses and creatives. I’ve never had a back up plan. I knew I wanted to work in music amplifying musicians and creatives through content creation. I started off my career at 14 years old with my first published byline. My work has appeared in The Source, Urbanology, BallerStatus.Net, Rap Up.Com and Relevant Magazine. Over the past 2 decades, I’ve grown from an artist management and local public relations hub to now a content production and media company where I’ve focused on supporting independent artists like B ALXNDR, Tapebenders and The Cranberry Show. There’s this cool space between independent creatives and businesses, organizations that Catera is the bridge to. Whether it’s curating an art gallery or music event or designing an online or offline campaign, our work creates the space for businesses/orgs and independent creatives to create dope one of a kind projects that creates expands awareness and visibility That’s my space. And the methodology and process to my work WORKS. Through my campaigns, content and event production I’ve: Helped create experiential events that focus on branding spaces and belonging Increased community visibility and participation in advocacy campaigns and Increased revenue through our brand influencer campaigns Catera is the compass and the plug. I have over 20 years experience as a published writer, host, content and event producer and brand strategist. I’ve produced over 300 events, starred in and created brand campaigns and executive produce and host content. With your help and partnership, Catera will establish an international footprint and marketshare in the space of connecting independent creatives, businesses and orgs for non and micro campaigns and live events.
