ABOUT KEN FREEMAN

Being a member of the BNY Wealth Management team allows me to leverage the firm\'s global resources in the tax & trust, legal, and generational wealth planning to serve my clients at an elite level. Serving Napa, Sonoma and Marin counties with a primary focus on entrepreneurs, retired business executives, and assisting business owners who are selling wineries, vineyards, food, outdoor and health & wellness companies. In addition, to my work at BNY beginning in 2001, with the help of my wife Akiko, we took our shared passion for refined, cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay along with a firm belief that California was capable of producing wines every bit as complex and compelling as those of Burgundy and began a quest. The quest led us to explore more than 300 properties before choosing a site on which to build our dream. Our search ultimately led us to western Sonoma County, with its steep hillside terrain and cooling ocean breezes. There, Freeman Vineyard & Winery was born. From the first vintage, our style went against convention. While others pushed the limits of ripeness, Akiko and our team sought balance and refinement. Today, our winery is defined by those same pursuits, with Akiko at the helm as winemaker, we\'ve humbly became internationally recognized as one of California\'s most acclaimed small producers. Visit us at to learn more about our story, our wines, and how to become a member of the Friends of Freeman. My time spent outside of the vineyard is dedicated to helping entrepreneurs, business owners, and retired executives find balance in their generational wealth planning activities. Focusing uniquely on philanthropy, bolstering the local community, and leaving a financially sound legacy.
