My focus is on ensuring that the historic environment is understood, protected, and effectively integrated into the major projects that are driving modern infrastructure and economic growth worldwide.Headland Archaeology is the UK and Europe’s leading privately owned provider of heritage services to the development and construction sectors. In my role, I focus on building international partnerships and developing opportunities for collaboration with clients and partners across the globe.With more than 30 years’ experience in the heritage sector, I have led numerous national and transnational programmes and have extensive experience in project design, delivery, and evaluation.I currently serve as CEO of FAME, the trade association for commercial archaeology in the UK and Ireland, where I advocate for the archaeological industry, manage the board, and represent the association at the highest levelsI am also Honorary Professor at the University of Liverpool, Treasurer of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, and a regular author and speaker on the business of cultural heritage.
