Over the course of 26 years, I have worked in the indirect tax arena as a state auditor, consultant, and process owner. My domestic experience includes state and local sales/use, state and local occupancy, federal/state/local telecommunications, federal/state/local motor fuel excise, local business licenses, state lube oil, and several other indirect taxes. My global experience in VAT includes the EU, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, China, Australia and New Zealand. I am also well versed in the application of Six Sigma process design and implementation to the indirect tax function. I am an equity partner in two compliance firms specializing in e-commerce and omnichannel, privately-owned retailers. I am a subject matter expert working with various lobbying efforts at the state and federal levels
