About Kenneth MacAlino
Once I thought I’d be a painter. Then I thought I’d be a tinkerer. I even thought I’d be a chef. In the end, as an industrial designer, I found a way to envelope the core of all 3: creativity, meticulously detailed, and reinventing the old. Design teaches us to pull from our experience and forge a unique perspective as a designer. What I once thought was a lack of focus became the foundation of my identity in the design world. I learned to be adaptive as an industrial designer and take on a breadth of skillsets. I channeled a diverse background into a holistic approach to innovation. I led a variety of project scopes and pioneered brands to new product categories, some of which include: 1) Kinetic toys for toddlers. 2) Feature rich camping bags. 3) Entirely new products like the ice saver. 4) …Cat-mermaid lunch boxes. I enjoy design and all of the latent potential to create it holds. To me, there’s few greater feelings than identifying a solution to a problem; one that makes people go, “we should’ve always done things like this”.
